  VERY BAD DERMATOLOGIST. Wrong diagnosis, wrong medication, horrible experience. 1. The doctor didn't listen to what I was telling him and rushed the process and ultimately gave me the wrong diagnosis. He told me I have shingles and prescribed me Valtrex which gave me horrible headaches for 7 days straight and did not cure the rash I had. I went to a much better dermatologist today and he properly diagnosed me with folliculitis. I know it's the correct diagnosis because since I was mistreated by Dr. Moraru my girlfriend caught it from me and her dermatologist also quickly diagnosed it as folliculitis today. 2. Office is gross and looks like it hasn't been cleaned or remodeled in over 40 years. All equipment is very old and dated. Not what you'd expect in an NYC doctor's office. 3. It took over an hour past my appointment time to see the doctor. They asked me to give them a ton of information that they slowly typed into an iPad that kept freezing and making the process take even longer. These were all questions I already answered on my Zocdoc forms anyway so I don't know why they needed to ask them all over again. I would not recommend this dermatologist and am extremely upset that I spent time off work to see him, a $50 copay, and ended up with 7 days of headaches from the medication while also infecting my girlfriend since he mistreated me and told me it wasn't contagious (since he didn't even know what it was). Telling someone they have shingles when it was actually a very simple skin infection is a serious sign of a bad dermatologist.
